THE BAT-BATMAN?
G-man at Comicvine posted a question I have pondered on more than once. What if Joker decided to abandon Gotham and the DC Universe and joins the hordes of the Marvel Universe Villains. (And to tell you the truth, if Joker could do it if he should, after the way that some writers have handled his character.)
Anyways, I remember DC joining forces with Marvel and let STAN LEE redesign the DC universe with the Marvel POV (For a little taste of this, catch a few issues of the 2004 miniseries JUST IMAGINE STAN LEE DESIGNING THE DC UNIVERSE). The concept was innovative and fresh for its time, but when I read it I don’t remember Stan Lee even considering redesigning Joker in the series so the question remained unanswered.
Does Joker have what it takes to make a good Marvel villain? And if he does…who would you pair him against?
Let me know what you think guys, I am really curious now….so curious that I would like for you to tell me whatyou think he would look like in that Marvel world. (I personally think he would have a change in attire)
Have to confess something… I am green with envy at the talent of this guy. I have never been able to finish a Rubik’s cube (gave up one day and threw the blasted thing out the window), and seeing this guy just setting the cube’s ‘faces’ with such ease, just adds to my shame.
Anyways, just because I’m not a Rubik’s fan, does not mean I cannot recognize real talent. This IS NOT EASY TO DO, and to make a Joker mosaic with Rubik’s cubes… well, who would have thought of that? Obviously David Alvarez.
Though not the first Rubik’s artist out there David is the first one I see that shows his talent in a Heath Ledger portrait. Just take a look and enjoy…and maybe I should go back and try playing with that cube again…
HERE IT IS…DAVID ALVAREZ AND HIS MOSAIC.
Our good friends at GOTHAM SPOILERS were able to get some pencils for the upcoming Batman #13 that mark the Joker’s return in the story arc “DEATH OF THE FAMILY”. Here are some of the nice scans…
(Pictures courtesy of GOTHAMSPOILERS.COM. For more scans visit the site.)
Also in November some (previously only) Digital comics featuring the Clown Prince of Crime go to print. (As if we didn’t already have enough clown….Hey I’m not complaining. The more, the merrier!)
BATMAN ARKHAM CITY: ENDGAME
I read the whole story and I give it my two thumbs up. The art is kind of sloppy and the same time somewhat Sienckiewiczesque…weird combination and a nice try. I think it is a great way to end the story started in the videogames
You can see a preview of this issue in my past post HERE
BATMAN: LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT #2
This one I also read completely and in my opinion, more could have been done with the story. It left me asking for a little more development, and improved characterizations, and the art looks in my opinion, really unfinished and amateurish.
The Joker has a nefarious plan that involves brainwashing the wealthy and elite of Gotham City and convincing them they’re Batman–to murderous effect!
Following the upcoming Joker return to BATMAN, I bring to you DC Comic’s November issues that tie in to the whole story arc:
Cover to Catwoman #14
Cover to Suicide Squad #14
Cover to Batman and Robin #14
I found this incredible piece of art in BLOODYDISGUSTING.COM (Besides their namesake, this site is dedicated to movies, comics, music and videogame industry), and felt like I had to share it with you guys.
It’s made with LENTICULAR LEGOS which is the first time I hear about them (I am one of the few that has never played with legos until now), but apparently this pieces, once assembled allow you to have two simultaneous images made, each one visible depending on the angle you move the whole mosaic.
This one is an image of Batman that slowly transforms into his nemesis the Joker and the artist is ARTHUR GUGICK and you can enjoy more of his art HERE. Don’t forget to watch the video underneath to enjoy the magic of this art:

Jock is going to be the back up artist for the Joker story arc in Batman #13-16 and he tweeted this image to BLEEDING COOL who were nice enough to share it with the world. Million thanks to COMICS XAMINER.COM for sharing this pic
The covers for the November issues of BATMAN #14 and BATGIRL #14 have been circulating for the last few days, allowing for a little tease for the fans of the Clown Prince of Crime. While many people thought that DC was trying to bring Joker to his TDK look, the images show something different entirely…and the one for Batgirl makes me wonder if he has some unfinished business in mind with Barbara Gordon after The Killing Joke. Anyways…Here are the previews:
BATMAN #14: Joker ia getting ready for business…
BATGIRL #14 : Who ever said that Joker was not a romantic?
