I am a little behind in my comic reading and just finished the last issue of ARKHAM REBORN miniseries. For those of you that don’t know what this is about, Dr. Arkham is reconstructing Arkham to be a state of the art facility for the treatment of the criminally insane, but Black Mask has other plans for the asylum and tries to sabotage his plans…or does he?

Well, as it happens, the last pages of issue three introduce a new villain that was just…well…unexpected. The name is the JESTER and just look closely by yourselves…

"The Joker’s evil twin?" Ooooh that makes my soul shiver.  Can there be someone out there more evil and insane than the Ace of Knaves himself?  Well, apparently so and this is his debut.  Who is this guy, where does he come from and more importantly what does he want with good ol’ Dr. Arkam and his Asylum?

Or is this guy the Joker in disguise…well, if it is, it’s not a very good one because he looks like…the Joker.   The curiosity is killing me…

I would LOOOOVE to see more of the Jester, but one thing worries me.  Is DC introducing this guy because they don’t want to use the Joker any more?  Is this only one very short lived villian introduced solely to spark and otherwise non-impressive series?  Who knows, but if this guy stays around a little bit longer, I would like to know what our beloved Clown Prince of Crime has to say about it.  He’s never been too fond of copycats….

  1. Don’t wanna use Joker anymore? *cries* Please don’t do me like dat, DC! I think it’s me. I swear, whenever I get into anything it like…ends. 😛

Hmmm…if that’s Joker in disguise, he looks much cuter covered in purple. LOL If NOT, and he doesn’t like copycats, then he might be ready for a rumble with this guy. Good lord. The Clown Wars. HAHA!

  2. the jester

That looks a lot ‘like the jester’ in justice league, crisis on two earths…..mabye the same person?????
