Last month I had posted an amazing voice over job of the KILLING JOKE by LORDJAZOR, a friend of mine who has an incredible talent to voice over Joker stories that are both enjoyable and creepy (Joker should entertain you and make you very scared at the same time). Now I find that our friends at Comic Vine have made their own copilation as well, and had found a few gems out there. First, I’ll recommend you check you the link I provided above to Lorjazor’s voice over. It’s going to blow your mind away. Now see what the guys at Comic Vine found and an excerpt of the article:
The first video depicts the Joker’s monologue in ‘The Killing Joke’ in which he dissects Batman, questioning whether or not Batman had some tragic experience that led him to lead the life he lives. The monologue is presented by voice actor Patrick Girtz, whose Joker voice is spot on. He’s so good that he could probably replace Mark Hamill as the voice of the Joker now that the actor has stated he’s officially retired from performing the role.

The second reenactment of ‘The Killing Joke’ is in Spanish, so for those of you that don’t speak the language it may be difficult to understand. However, even though you may not understand espanol, you can still appreciate the beautiful puppetry efforts of the ‘Teatro de Sombras.’ Below is the graphic novel adaptation of ‘The Killing Joke’ for you to enjoy.

OK, now that you’ve all enjoyed this. Isn’t it time we have a reboot or a remake of the Killing Joke in the visual media as well? I mean, if DC can remake Miller’s BATMAN YEAR ONE with a ‘twist’ I’m sure that the KILLING JOKE would lend itself to a readaptation in the video format too (come on, it’s almost a quarter of a century old). In the meantime….a plea to the people at GRAPHIC AUDIO: since you have a DC licence, why not make an audiobook on the KILLING JOKE…maybe for the 25 year anniversary of the book? We’ll love you all if you did, you know? For ever!
